Our Story
When you can’t be there, your love still can.
Sending You a Hug began with a feeling I know well: wanting to comfort someone you love, but not knowing what to say or do; and wishing you could simply wrap them in comfort and love.
The last seven years of my life have been the most challenging yet: my family moved through illness, caregiving, recovery, and grief.
During those years, I learned how deeply the smallest gestures of love can matter. I learned how much it means to have someone show you that you aren't alone. I also learned that people often want to show up for someone going through a difficult time, but they aren’t always sure how.
Sometimes words don’t feel like enough. Flowers eventually fade. And sometimes you simply can’t be there in person.
But your love still can.
From the yoga mat to someone’s doorstep
For more than 15 years, I’ve been a yoga teacher, helping people feel calmer, supported, and cared for through yoga, meditation, and energy healing. I began wondering if I could capture a little of that same feeling - the warmth, peace, and comfort of taking a deep breath and knowing you aren’t alone - and place it inside a box.
That idea became Sending You a Hug.
More than a blanket
Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to create a true moment of comfort: from the cloud-soft blanket embroidered with our open heart to the beautiful packaging, keepsake cards, and personalized message from the person sending it.
I personally prepare each Hug with the same care and intention I bring to my classes. Before it begins its journey, I take a quiet moment to send a little healing energy with it; simply a loving intention, a blessing, and the hope that the person receiving it feels deeply cared for.
Because what arrives at their door may look like a beautiful gift, but what you’re really sending is your love.
Helping one another show up
Sending You a Hug was created for all those moments when someone you care about is facing illness, loss, caregiving, loneliness, change - or simply needs to be reminded that they matter.
It’s a way to say:
I’m thinking of you.
I’m here.
You are loved.
You don’t have to go through this alone.
Every Hug sent becomes part of this story - helping a little more love, comfort, and kindness make its way into the world.
I’m so glad you’re here.
With love,
Amy Kerman-Gutzmer
